Undefeated, Unscored Upon

T.J.'s 7th grade football team went 6-0 this season capturing the WCSAL Championship. Their defense did not allow a point all season. They outscored their opponents 95-0. This was T.J's first undefeated season and the first time that New Hope went undefeated in football.

After years of avoiding "The Bath", T.J. finally got dunked. It was a great moment.
Now T.J. is in the middle of coaching basketball. His 8th grade team is 2-2 in league play and the 7th grade is 3-1. We are fixing to start the second half of the season and hope to improve our records and play for a championship.
I am about to start student teaching at Park Creek School in Dalton. I am staying in the first grade class in which I was interning last semester. I love the kids and the staff at this school and am so glad to be continuing my placement there.

Sweet Summertime

It has been an exciting year for us. I finished my first year of the education program and T.J. finished his first year at New Hope. He was also named Head Football coach for the upcoming season. He has been working with the boys this summer and is excited about football officially starting in the fall.

We have also started a new diet/excersise program. We have been doing this program for 4 weeks now. I have been dieting since the beginning of May and have lost 17.5lbs. T.J. has lost a total of 18lbs.

We moved into our new house and we love living here. It is the perfect house for 2 people. Oh, and Champ loves it too =)

Golf Championship

T.J.'s golf teams placed in the championship match at Indian Trace last week. The boys' team placed 1st and the girls team placed 2nd. Both teams posted the lowest scores they had posted all year. It was a great season, but we are ready for a break from sports for a few weeks.

I just finished up my Spring semester classes. I am so relieved. I have just a week and half off before going back for summer semester. I am pumped to only have a year left, but I am worried about not finding a job. Hopefully I will not have any problems.

Spring is in the Air

Spring is in the air and in our house that usually means track season. However, this year T.J. is coaching golf. Yes, golf! He loves it though. The kids on the team are great and fun to be around. He has some future Tigers on the team as well...haha. Also, T.J. is was asked by his principal to become one of the teachers in the new 6th grade academy next year. Because of this new position, we now get to fly to San Diego on March 31 to tour a school in which the academy is modeled after. We are super excited about this experience and are very grateful that his principal asked him to become apart of this experience.

I am on Spring Break this week. Midterm grades come out next week I think. I am expecting to have all A's and B's, but we will see how it turns out. I feel like I am getting closer to the end of this program, and couldn't be happier!

The plans for the new home are still in the works. We have started moving some of the smaller things into the house and will be moving in to the house in May when I have finished the Spring semester.

New Year!

T.J. just finished up basketball. His 8th grade girls finished the season 5-3 and his 7th grade girls finished 4-4. It was a descent year for his basketball team and we look forward to starting up again the in the summer. We will miss his 8th graders next year as they will move to Northwest.

As for me, I am in my second semester in the education program and am trying to hang in there. I made the Dean's List last semester and was initiated into Kappa Delta Pi two weeks ago. Hopefully this semester won't be too rough and I can hang in there.

Also, we are planning on moving into our own place in May or June. I will keep you posted as the plans for this event evolve.
